Fibres in your veins and vessels back home, paying homage and offering a glimpse into her Grandmother, and the Country that flowed through the soul and veins of the women in Clare’s family.
‘Grandmother, I saw you bundle and carry Country and the weight of your world into your woven bag. Bundling baskets and filling your pockets with dreams of the old ways of home where the soil is black, the mountains dance with the flat plains and the sky blankets it’s travellers, wrapping the abundance of history, minerals, spilt blood and intertwined ecosystems.’
